Full TTO Conversion

This will change TTD to TTO graphically. Also some extra files and an easter egg included.

Swedish trains by AndersI (and others)

OK, I finally decided to give those trains a thread of their own (instead of hanging on to the Sweset thread). In the picture below, you can see the current lineup in my depot. The GRF file is also included.
The GRF is coded by myself with GRFMaker, without which progress would have been much slower. The coding is not very fancy for the moment, but you can at least get the trains running in the game.
The stats are still off a bit, and contains some obvious errors (this is a WIP, you know).

Contributors:
Purno (the base for Rc6, which got me all started on drawing for TTD)
Akalamanaia (the Y6, although I have redrawn it a bit)
OSkar000 (Y1 livery)
and everyone else that has given me data and constructive criticism here in the forums and elsewhere

[8bpp] Graphics Replacement Project - OpenGFX

Большой действующий и развивающийся проект по полной замене графики TTD в OpenTTD.
(Отсебятина: не вся графика работает в паре. Не вся работает так, как казалось бы она должна работать. Тестирование - личное дело каждого.)

Introduction:
This is the thread about [8bpp] Graphics Replacement Project. The idea is to have full replacement for graphics so OpenTTD can be distributed freely. Right now we have about half of the work already done. The checklist is below and direct links to already available (though development releases) grfs is in the second post.

There is a wiki page http://wiki.openttd.org/index.php/Graphics_Replacement too. And it's being updated too.

Canadian Train Set

A comprehensive train replacement set, featureing a large number of Canadian trains, locomotives, passenger coaches and freight cars from the early 1900's to present day, covering steam, diesel and electric. Also, the set covers the many rail companies that have been operating in Canada; to name a few, Canadian National (CNR), VIA Rail (VIA), Canadian Pacific (CPR), Ontario Northland (ONR), British Columbia (BCR), GO-Transit (GTR) and West Coast Express (WCE). Apart from standard gauge rolling stock, it contains a complete set of narrow gauge engines and wagons, representing White Pass and Yukon (WPY) as well as Newfoundland (NFR) Railways.

Industrial Stations Renewal

Industrial stations with facilities to cover all cargos in the game. Features gradual loading cargo showing in platforms, animated sprites and non-track tiles.

Parameters:
The first parameter controls the docks, the second controls the ship depot. In both cases '0' enables the new graphics, '1' disables then.
With no parameters set it defaults to '0 1' i.e. new docks enabled, ship depot disabled.

Industrial vehicle tiles featuring andythenorth's 'heavy' vehicles, including:
Crawler crane.
Mining truck.
Bulldozer.
Front loader.
Log loader.
Log stacker.
Forklift (crates).
Large forklift (containers).
Reach stacker.
Container stacker.
Sprites for timber platforms and non-track tiles replaced.
Sprites for copper/steel non-track tiles replaced.
Copper is now re-coloured to steel instead of using separate sprites.
Some container colours changed to remove the excess of red on non-track tiles.
Minerals now use re-colour sprites for mineral colours.
Mineral silo layout updated.
Mineral unloader is now compatible with maglev/monorail.
Road crossing is now compatible with maglev/monorail.
Dutch translation added (thanks FooBar).
Fix: Orientation of facilities buildings was incorrect.
Fix: Gravel platform sprite offset error.
Fix: Empty wood platforms were not showing desert/snow.

Warning: station IDs have changed, which makes ISR v0.8.0 incompatible with savegames made with previous versions. To update old savegames follow the instructions in the first post. Do not complain if you ignore this warning and your game crashes.

It's not too bad though, as the IDs for 'Industrial: Stations' and 'Industrial: Fixtures' have not changed, so only track tiles from 'Industrial: Raw materials' onwards need converting. Non-track tiles can just be overbuilt with the correct tiles from v0.8.0.

OpenTTD players: ISR v0.8.0 requires OpenTTD 0.6.1 or later, or a nightly build from r12674 onwards.

Generic Tram Set
Это тот самый сет с трамваями который почему-то по умолчанию включают в сборку 0.6.3
Generic tram set including 5 passenger, 3 mail and 3 goods trams. 5 of the later vehicles are articulated.

Compatible with OpenTTD 0.6X and the latest OpenTTD nightlys.
NOT compatible with OpenTTD version 0.5X.
TTDpatch compatibility untested.

Traffic lights

Most noticeable change: The traffic lights now actually have a purpose (other than eyecandy). Meaning the drivers will not just bluntly ignore them anymore
Also there are some new features, but maybe you want to turn them off, so there are patch options for that now.
Due to the added patch options which are saved in savegames, there is no compatibility with savegames from previous versions of this patch.
reminder:
This patch needs a valid trafficlight.grf to work. You can find in this thread trafficlight_light.grf (works well with most roads), trafficlight_dark.grf (better for light roads like in TTRS) and trafficlight_wooden.grf (if you prefer brown ones). Please choose the one you like, put it into your data folder and rename it to trafficlight.grf

Narrow Gauge rails

Regauged normal TTD rails, can replace any track type to support narrow gauge train sets.

Dutch Tram Set

The Dutch Tram Set is New Graphics Set which adds a great number of both historical and current Dutch trams to TTDPatch or OpenTTD.
This set is aimed to give an historical overview of Dutch trams while ensuring quality gameplay through customized statistics.
Because this is a Beta Release, we are especially interested in you opinion! Tell us what you think about this set. Any problems, glitches, errors of some kind? Post a bugreport!

Due to the way how TTDPatch handles the Wagon Length Callback, some vehicles tend to fall apart in TTDPatch. This can be pretty annoying and therefor we've disabled the (six) problem-causing vehicles for this platform. Please enjoy the remaining vehicles of this set, while we are looking for a decent solution to this problem. (This problem does not exist in OpenTTD)

Additionally, an easter-egg has been added (currently only available in OpenTTD, due to problems described above). I'm not telling what that easter-egg could be, figure that out yourself.

Release Candidate 1
It's here! The very first release candidate of the Dutch Tram Set. I consider the set finished right now, but because I haven't tested it thoroughly, I'm releasing it as RC. If no bugs will be reported, I'll release this very same version as the final version. Otherwise, those bugs will be fixed and a new version will be released as version 1.0.

New in the RC is one extra tram, a solution for the previous issues with TTDPatch, the possibility to refit all trams to tourists, mail, goods, food or valuables and a whole new range bell sounds. Unfortunately this version is not compatible with the previous beta 2 and therefore I bumped the GRF-ID.

Another change is the license. The set is from now on available under the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike Netherlands license.

CS Roads

After a long and demanding development we bring you long awaited new version of the Czechoslovak roads.

It's already 3 years since original road set came to existence. And since we are trying to make everything better we could miss the oppurtunity to enhance the so successful roads.

OK, let's go to the changes in the version 2.0

The first and most obvious one is the new texture if the surface. It's compromise version that all artists and developers of the set agreed on.Also included is shading on corresponding sides of the hill and completely new and localized railway crossings. The set contains crossings for each climate and depending on type of crossed line.

Don't forget to checkout new passenger and cargo road stations and the new depot. Last but no least there are one-way signs and roads dead ends. After all following screen speaks for itself...

To allow for customisability we prepared two switches: crossings and bridge types.

Possible settings of the first switch (crossings):
0 - automatic (default)
1 - CS railroad tracks
2 - original railroad tracks
3 - no change

Possible settings of the second switch (bridges):
0 - changed bridges(default)
1 - no change

Now an example: newgrf/road-cs-(win;ottd).grf.grf 1 1 - This allows you to use CS railroad tracks and not changd bridges.

The settings of the set and other important informations are in enclosed README.txt file, which is part of the download archive.

CSRailSet

After almost a year, we're bringing you a new version of RailSet with many changes and improvements.

The first major change to CSRailSet is the integration of the former CSTractionSet. The reason to join the two sets was simple -- el. traction is an integral part of the railway infrastracture and as such they belong together.

The second and rather significant improvement over the previous release is the addition of railway tracks for all other climates except Toyland. Now you can unleash your engineering talent on variety of terrains ranging from the snowy slopes of Alpine mountains to the barren plains of African deserts. You can bore tunnels under the unreachable white peaks and span valleys with multitude of bridges. In higher altitudes, tunnel portals and tracks get often buried under heaps of snow.

In such environment it is necessary to protect your tracks against wildlife freely roaming through the countryside. For that, we provided you with a choice of two fences. Those of you who have no sympathy for the little critters (or just dislike the eyesore that fences can be), we've provided the options to either use very simple company coloured owner markers as a replacement, or to disable fences altogether.

As your tracks finally reach the city, you may need to cross some roads that the local authority is unwilling to let you remove. At those times, you'll appreciate the railroad crossings available in this set.

Configuration options - parameter 1 (fences):
0 - no fences or owner marks (default)
1 - company colour owner marks
2 - new fences
3 - original fences

Configuration options - parameter 2 (el.traction):
0 - CSD electric traction (default)
1 - original TTD traction from ttdpbase(w).grf

Configuration options - parameter 3 (rails):
0 - CSD rails (default)
1 - original rails

Configuration options - parameter 4 (bridges):
0 - bridges with CS tracks (default)
1 - no bridges loaded

Example: newgrf/csrailset(w;o).grf 2 1 0 - use new fences, original TTD el.traction and CSD rails.

PS: You do not need to write the 0s if you're using the default settings (exception being if you want to use no fences and original traction, when the first 0 needs to be there).

UKRS Industries Brick Chain

It expands Pikka's Basic Industries with four additional industries in temperate; quarry, clay pit, brickworks and engineer's yard. These four industries were in the original UKRSI, but were removed from PBI.

Requires Pikka's Basic Industries (44440602)

Secondary Industries:
Brickworks:
- Stockpiles clay and gravel; produces goods.
- Building req: within 15 tiles of a town of 300 population.
Engineer's yard:
- Stockpiles gravel and fuel oil; produces nothing.
- Building req: within 15 tiles of a town of 300 population.

Release notes
This grf must be loaded after Pikka's Basic Industries.
Building restrictions only apply to randomly generated or player-built industries. You can put an industry anywhere you like in the scenario editor.

Suburban Renewal Set
[Suburban Renewal Houses]

The Suburban Renewal Set is a house set for the temperate climate. It is made using (heavily) modified original graphics.

Features of the set include:
- Road-sensitive buildings that will face the nearest road.
- Minimum building lifespans which prevent towns from replacing buildings that are less than a certain age.
- Population-based construction limits on parks, statues, stadiums, churches etc.

I consider this set a work-in-progress, as I would like to add more buildings and expand the concept to the other climates. However, it's perfectly playable in its current state.
